The Road to Solo PvP (#1?)

Most everyone’s seen one of those solo PvP videos, where someone kills tons of people with one ship. They make it seem so easy.
I tried this once. It didn’t go well. Thus, starting tomorrow, I will use the following Incursus fit:

[Incursus, Dual Rep]

Damage Control II
Small Armor Repairer II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

Small Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 400
Limited 1MN Afterburner I
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I

Light Ion Blaster II, Void S
Light Ion Blaster II, Void S
Light Ion Blaster II, Void S

Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I
Hobgoblin II x1
Null S x360

Until I do get a solo kill.

    1. Hmm, a single drone doesn’t do enough in order to be worth it, but perhaps a Tristan with five of these and blasters and a neut of its own would work.

  1. The most important thing in frigate solo pvp is range control. That fit will not be able to get close enough to anyone competent to deal damage. Blasters generally need a web in order to control range. This is why the dual rep fit isn’t very good. Try these fits instead:

    [Incursus, MWD AAR BLASTERS]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
    F85 Peripheral Damage System I
    Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
    Adaptive Nano Plating II

    Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I
    X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

    Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
    Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
    Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I

    Warrior II x1

This fit works very well against kiting frigs and your general plan of attack is to slingshot, web scram and kill.

The second fit is really super tight but should work. The plate is not really necessary and you can go with a adaptive plate if you want. This frees up some expensive meta mods and lets you do a better scram/web.

    [Incursus, AB AAR PLATE BLASTERS]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
    Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
    Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
    200mm Reinforced Nanofiber Plates I

    1MN Afterburner II
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
    X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

    Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
    Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
    Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I

    Warrior II x1

    1. Interesting. I might try those out, but why would you use a warrior over a hobgoblin for damage or a acolyte for decent speed, tracking, and damage?

  2. I use the dual rep afterburner incursus a LOT for my solo work, in low sec with faction warfare plexes you have plenty of opportunities to catch things and kill them. Yes, missing the web sucks but the dual reps gives the survivability to try things out whereas a single rep can get trickier to survive long enough for the web to make a difference.
